I played this immediately after beating Intermission for the first time and right after beating hard mode in the main game, so I was quite comfortable with the mechanics. The nice thing is that they made some small changes here and there and that included making the Fort Condor mini-game harder. I appreciated that. It wasn't too much of a change, but it was cool to have more challenges. I also did the Chadley VR challenges and they were certainly a step up from the ones in Remake. You now only have 2 people and that certainly makes managing the tougher fights a bit harder. I did grind materia up and it did take a bit, but was certainly worth the effort. The downside is that the grind here was a lot more tedious than it was in Remake. Never-the-less it was vital in beating the final couple of VR challenges. I also did the Weiss fight for Remake tacked on the end here since it was part of Intermission. Hard mode offered some nice challenge and Nero was a cool final boss. I just wish those in-fight cutscenes were skipable. Sheesh. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
