Final Fantasy 7 - Walkthrough - Part 45 - Return to Shinra HQ, Proud Clod, Hojo
100:00 - This is another detour from the main mission, but it's worth it for the items you can collect. First go to the left and take the stairs up until you find the Behemoth Horn weapon for Red XIII. Then run back down or keep heading up to enter the building.
02:39 - Either way, head back down to the 1st Floor, here you can read Turtle's Paradise Flyer
No.2 on the noticeboard at the back if you missed it. Head up the stairs to the 2nd Floor and go into the Item Shop in the corner. You can now open the two chests in here to collect the Pile Bunker weapon for Barret and Master Fist weapon for Tifa.
03:20 - Head back down to the 1st Floor and take the glass elevator up to the 63rd floor. Navigate to the room in the middle and pick up the Grow Lance weapon for Cid. Then take the stairs up to 64th floor.
04:13 - Click on the vending machine in the upper left corner of room with the fitness equipment. If you put money into this earlier on in the game choose to bang on it to receive a Mind Source and a Speed Source. Finally, check the last row of lockers in the room in the upper middle to find the HP Shout weapon for Cait Sith, his Ultimate Weapon.
05:00 - Now head out and exit Shinra HQ and make your way back to the underground tunnels. Now go back to the previous intersection (0 on the wall), continue south to the next intersection (8 on the wall) and go left here.
06:30 - Make sure you prepare for a boss battle before climbing up, when you reach the path and run forward you will bump into Proud Clod. Start the battle with Big Guard and Regen. Make sure to target Jamar Armor first as you will get extra experience and AP at the end of the battle. The only attack you have to watch up for is Materia-Jammer which puts reflect on your entire party. Make sure you deal with this before using healing magic. Hit it with the usual strong attacks, limit breaks, enemy skill and magic to deplete it's 60000 HP. After the battle it will drop the Ragnarok weapon for Cloud.
12:45 - After the battle, head north to the next screen. Pick up the Elixir and the Mystile armour from the chests. This is arguably the best armor in the game as it has the highest evasion stats allowing you to dodge a high number of attacks. Make sure to place Barret in your party at this point until you collect his Ultimate Weapon, Missing Score in the next screen and head up the stairs.
13:50 - Keep following the stairs up until you pick up Missing Score from the chest. Then you can head back down and change up the party if you wish. When you get to the top you will have a boss battle so make sure to heal up and have your parties best set up equipped. Ribbons will come in very handy.
14:10 - Run forward and challenge Hojo to start the battle. All variations of Hojo in this battle are weak to Darkness and the final form Lifeform-Hojo N is also weak to Stop. For the first form, Hojo will use capsule to spawn two enemies to fight alongside him. Start with Big Guard and Regen then dispatch Hojo and these additional enemies with physical attacks to get this part over with quickly.
18:10 - For the second part - Helletic Hojo, there is the main body and two separate arms that you can target. The arms will revive quickly after defeating them, so it's best to focus on the main body. Use your Physical Attacks, in particular Double Slash and your strongest magic and enemy skills such as Magic Breath are effective here. After 26000 HP of damage you will then face the third part.
19:50 - For the final part - Lifeform-Hojo N, make sure you have Big Guard and Regen active. He will hit with a physical combo which hits four consecutive times and inflicts Poison, Darkness and Sleep which is where the Ribbon accessories come in handy. If you have Counter Attack Materia equipped, you will counter each single attack. Magic attacks are countered by Hojo casting Silence but protective accessories will prevent this. If you are struggling, you can cast Stop and hit him with your best enemy skills, limit breaks and summons. After hitting for 30000 HP, you will get a Power Source at the end of battle.
23:00 - After the battle, you will find yourself back on Highwind. Depending on your relationship score with Tifa, the dialogue here between her and Cloud will be slightly different.
36:23 - After the scenes you will have reached the end of Part 2/Disc 2 and will be given the chance to save the game. You are now ready to go on to the final part of the game and the final battle. However, there are still a large number of side quests to complete before then. So head back and speak with the pilot to return to the world map.
