Part 13/22 in my Final Fantasy III - NES walkthrough.

Head into the lake and inside the large creature roaming it. The treasures are easy to see, but when the path splits north-south, take the north first. The next room will split pretty early too, so take the north east path, then south west and finally north west.
At the end you'll want to heal up before talking to the sea serpent waiting for you.

Leviathan is a walk over, although he can do a lot more damage with his Tsunami than Odin could do, so be aware of that. Bolt3 is the way to go as is pretty much the case with any Leviathan fight. He'll die in a couple of turns easily.

Next up as the title suggests, Bahamut. Head east to a mountain pass you can hop over and enter the cave. This is another pretty short dungeon, with not many splits to get to treasure.

Bahamut will engage you when you exit the cave at the other end. He is much harder than the other two summons you've fought so far, and Quake misses as you may expect. Use your Black Mage for item duty. Start with Cure4, even if he misses it will be better than being roasted in the second turn. Use Gods' Wine on your Knight to see his fighting ability sky rocket. You're going to hope that on the second turn he did miss with his first attack, so you can Haste the other fighter. I try the Dark Scent to Instant KO Bahamut, but I think it will always fail anyway. Regardless, after this use your Black Mage for Hi-Potion duty and Bahamut should HOPEFULLY go down by the third turn. Otherwise it's likely he'll knock you senseless because his attacks will outclass your White Mages healing ability by quite a bit.

Once you've won you can summon Bahamut. travel back through the cave and heal up on the Invincible. Now head back to the real world. Go to the place where we bought Quake and the spells for the White Mage and buy the summon abilities there. I don't think I use them, but they're nice to have and use for their animations at some point. Head back to the Invincible and journey to the continent next to the one where we obtained the Nautilus. You'll see a tower of sorts in the north east, but you'll have to approach from the desert in the south west and hop along the winding mountain path until you reach a cave. Heal up and save here.
