Part 15/22 in my Final Fantasy III - NES walkthrough.

Head out of this maze of mountains, and to the west where you'll see four pairs of statues. Walk forward to smash them all. Head back to the Invincible and keep heading north and east. Land close to the big tower I mentioned in the previous part. Go into the Ancients' Labyrinth and head straight ahead, you'll find the Earth Crystal and will fight Titan, who bares a striking resemblance to a boss we fought under 10 minutes ago. He's similarly easy, you should be used to buffing your fighters by this point, so do so. Black Mage should still Quake. After the fight you'll gain more jobs. Upgrade your Black Mage to a Warlock and upgrade your White Mage to possibly the cutest job class in all of Final Fantasy the Shaman.

Leave and head back to the place where you found Dorga and the Moogles. Dorga will teleport you to a dungeon. A fairly short one, but the challenge is at the end.
Dorga and Unne are the people you must fight, in order to create enough energy to open the gateway to Eureka. Both fights are pretty easy, but they're back to back without the chance to heal in between. Follow the same set up as the last two battles, but don't bother with buffing the Mystic Knight, Haste your Knight and then Cure4 afterwards for both battles. Warlock can either Quake or Fire3.

Beat them and they'll give you the key to Sylx Tower. Some of the best equipment in the game can be obtained here, but you'll have to go through another dungeon first to get there.
