1Along the way, there are several treasure chests that you can grab within the roots that contain somewhat decent equipment, though you likely already have it. Keep heading further down and once you reach the base, you'll end up taking a leaf towards the center of the tree. Here, you'll have two small fights and then be given a chance to heal your party members before fighting the boss controlling the mist.
Soulcage: An insanely easy boss with one simple trick. However, I would recommend stealing with Zidane as he carries: Oak Staff, Magician Cloak and Brigandine. The Brigandine is quite difficult to steal, so have Vivi use Slow to get in a couple extra turns. Once you have everything you need from him, have Dagger/Eiko cast Life, or throw a Phoenix Down on him to end the fight with a single hit.
