PREVIOUSLY ON FINAL FANTASY VI ADVANCE:

I never pegged Cyan for the catfish-ing type, but he was apparently doing just that. It turns out that the young lady in Maranda exchanging letters with the injured soldier from Mobliz, was actually exchanging romantic letters with Cyan! Definitely smelled fishy since we know all the adults in Mobliz were permanently KO status. But by the time we caught him, he was prepared to do the right thing and come clean about it, so I guess we'll let it slide. We got Cyan back now, so we're up to five members now.

IN THIS CHAPTER:

Cyan mentioned that he saw Gau, who was heading for the Veldt. So we'll go there with only a group of three. While we're here, let's go ahead and do the Cave on the Veldt scenario. Looks like Shadow's in trouble and it's time for us to help him for a change. Don't forget to grab the 'Ichigeki' (Striker in SNES). The boss here, the Behemoth King, is a tough customer. Flinging high level magic at your party, sometimes more than once per turn. He KO-ed two of my party, but I was at least able to get him into his second form, which is undead. I didn't want to win that way, but I just slapped him with a Phoenix Down and called it a day. Whew! We get to see another one of Shadow's dreams towards the end. I'll take as much Shadow character development as they're willing to dish out.
