What makes this boss difficult is that it has three parts and each of them are able to attack. The key to winning this fight is keeping his two arms in check with a combination of Edgar's Flash and Gau's Giga Volt attack. Locke's job is to either heal or steal the Tempest Katana from the main body. Stealing it isn't necessary to do but it's a nice weapon for Cyan. It's your choice to go through the trouble.

The only real fatal attack here is Atomic Ray, which is an instant death for the party.

By the way, the battles on the cart are unavoidable and can't be fled from. This is the first part of the game where EXP must be gained. There's a big guide to limiting the EXP so the least amount of levels are gained, but this is my own challenge and I'm not reading a guide for this. Locke goes up two levels and the other two go up 1.

I've played every Final Fantasy game and I would say I know every one of them like the back of my hand, but Final Fantasy VI is a different case. I know it like my body and soul. It's easily my favorite FF game and I've played it through so many times. However, I've never done a true challenge on it. Which is why I'm doing this LL challenge as a start and maybe more extreme challenges later.

LL - Low Level. Trying to keep the lowest level possible throughout the game. This probably won't be a Lowest Level possible game for two reason. One, I've never done a LL game for FFVI. Two, all of these strategies are all mine that I've figured out and if my strategy requires me to level up a level or two to get past a certain part, then I will level.

There will be no taking advantage of any cheap glitches or cheats such as Psycho Cyan, Vanish/Doom, Joker Doom, etc. Any other strategies are fair game
