This is a #playthrough of #Squareenix crown jewel - "Final Fantasy 7" (#FF7) the original 1997 experience. The #game surrounds protagonist/mercenary "Cloud Strife", whom helps eco-terrorist group (#AVALANCHE) disrupt the goings on of the oppressive/corrupt #SHINRA corporation in an attempt to stop them plying the world of resources for greed (not unlike Square). Cloud is a #SOLDIER (a mako infused super mercenary) continually tormented by the locked memories of his past. What secrets are locked away? Can this band of misfits save the planet?

Final Fantasy VII (1997) is an turn-based roleplaying-game with strategy elements. The player controls #Cloud outside of combat for the most part with the combat components comprising of a party of 3 with decisive turn-based strategic battle-mechanics. #Materia acts as the games central component which can be slotted into each character affording them an array of battle skills/magics. Weapons and accessories are equipped into each character which is where the player slots their #Materia. There are other optional gameplay features & minigames outside of battle but combat is the core feature.

"Final Fantasy VII" (the original) was released on January 31 1997, "Final Fantasy VII Remake" was released on April 10 2020. The "intergrade" moniker was added to the June 10 2021 re-release for the PS5 with some "Yuffie" DLC by Square-Enix (formerly Square-Soft). The game (1997) was directed by Yoshinori Kitase.

This particular playthrough will be experienced on the #nintendoswitch with default settings on standard difficulty. There is no "hard" mode for this game as such a thing was not needed for this game to provide a challenge in the latter part of the experience (elite bosses, etc).

You will be pleased (or maybe annoyed) that my voice will be heard throughout this stream (no doubt shouting profanity from time to time - or making idiotic remarks).
