Theoretically, this is where the Remake will end, just as the world begins to open up. I wonder if the Remake will even have an overworld map, or will Square Enix choose to create a more linear feeling game. What would be interesting is if you buy all the games on the same platform, the second game would feel more like an expansion. This would allow you to explore the world by opening up the map rather than explore the story.

A battle I was waiting for actually never happened. I seemed to remember there was a battle against a helicopter. Then, thinking it over, I believe every other time I played this game, I always snuck into Shinra HQ rather than busting through the doors and taking on all the enemies. Even though I didn't battle the helicopter, there was still an uncomfortable number of boss battles. It is one of the reasons why I didn't play through it during Part 05.

Thanks to the guide I'm using, "Final Fantasy VII - FAQ/Walkthrough - PlayStation - By Absolute Steve - GameFAQs" (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/197341-final-fantasy-vii/faqs/45703), the boss battles were quite easy. Knowing the weaknesses of your opponents makes the battles a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating. I do find when I begin using a guide, even just for quick reference, I tend to become glued to it. I am not playing a "Perfect Game" though Steve has these interstitials where he tells you the decision you should make for a perfect game. I usually will take his advice.

This is really an excellent RPG and I am having a blast playing it.
