I dread sitting down and playing Chrono Trigger. However, when I begin playing, I have a great time. I think I just dread playing RPGs in general because there is a fair amount of RNG that I have no control over. If I'm playing an action game, I can react better to what is happening on screen. What makes me dread playing Chrono Trigger is, while I supposedly have the game on "Wait", it's actually playing on "Active". So, if I wait too long to issue a command, the enemies will continue to barrage me with attacks.

Okay, so where am I? The Ocean Palace working my way to the two Golems. I recall fighting one of them earlier which I died almost immediately. According to a comment on that video, it is possible to defeat that enemy but I wasn't at a high enough level and I didn't have the attacks to do it. It's fine, I'll survive and I did. Now though, I had to defeat two of them which turned out to be pretty easy. In fact, everything I faced was easier than I expected. I think the most difficulty I had was getting to the Golems.

What is causing me the most dread is coming up. I heard about the Black Omen section of the game and I am not feeling it. I really don't want to do it. Of course, I'm going to give it a try, but I have little patience for this type of padding in a game. To be honest, I'm not loving the bloat I'm dealing with now. Why does Dalton exist? He doesn't bring anything to the story. I wish I knew approximately how much more of the game I have to play. I feel like I'm nearing the end and that is somewhat of a relief. I hope I get so wrapped up in the game during the next play session that I complete it without even realizing it.
