Final Fantasy X on Linux using PCSX2
Playing Playstation 2 games on Linux:
Final Fantasy X
This is the first episode of the series to be released on the Sony Playstation 2 in mid 2001. This is the second best selling Final Fantasy (just after Final Fantasy VII).

Like Final Fantasy VII (that marked the first introduction of 3D models in the final fantasy vdeo game series) this opus brings huge new features to the series (thanks to the power of the Playstation 2 and the amount of data storage available on a DVD):
- First Final Fantasy with full 3D environment (previous games were still using 2D background)
- First Final Fantasy that brings voice acting
On a gameplay note :
- Final Fantasy X replaced the Active Time Battle (real time combat) by the CTB (Condition Turn based battle) system.
- The player can swap a party member by another inactive party member during battle.
- The overdirve (aka limitbreak) system changed again
- The summon system changed again; whenever the player summon an "Aeon", it replaces the party.
- The sphere grid replaces the leveling system (you earn sphere grid point during battle, and spend them to unlock stats and ability on a grid)
