This was my first time running ST on the first day, it went rather well with only TWO wipes total.. :P Was a bit nervous at times you may notice lol but this run is better than the others I have recorded. This one had NO trolls and we were all wanting to complete it, trolls are beginning to migrate to ST sadly lol. I did make a mistake in that first fight you'll see though but think that was the only major one.

5:33-Scylla fight, people say this is the hardest one but eh...I disagree. You just 100% NEED someone to explain the mechanics to everyone in Alliance Chat.

The main mechanic are the elemental balls, lightning means you gotta run to the lightning pillars, ice means you're going to be frozen and fire is for unfreezing a frozen person and creating a puddle. Puddles you will need to use when she casts Ancient Flare, stand in them and you won't die.

Daybreak is the other factor, you go on the stacking spot when she's about to cast it. If however the lightning pillars weren't charged with lightning balls, you can wipe. We didn't wipe so never saw it...

The last phase of the fight involves her summoning a bunch of Adds, tanks need to pick em up and DPS needs to kill em. She'll spam Ancient Flare now but the ice and fire balls still spawn so you'll be fine if you stand in a puddle, otherwise big damage will come your way and may even kill you.
15:42-Glasya Labolas, this guy I think he's harder than Scylla IMO. Big AOE including some buzzsaws that will move around. He summons some robot bit-like adds which are invulnerable until a player stands in the shaded area by them and then the player will be stunned but the add will be killable, kill them before they charge up the meter too much.

The Clockwork Squire adds are the real annoying part. You can't kill them unless they are tethered to two lines, once they are you can kill them as intended.

Around this point Glasya will probably to wipe the party with his devastating spell. If all went well, your party will be able to take the teleporters/jumpers to move away from the main platform and onto the others, escaping this attack.

At this point now you jump from platform to platform killing/damaging the Adds, moving away when the platform is getting AOE'd.

After that, just kill him fast. The phases may repeat again.

The next part of the Crystal Tower, one huge Final Fantasy 3 homage. This one is slightly different, parties are made of 1 tank, 2 healers and 5 DPS. This means a lot less slacking for tanks in general and is a welcome change.

Scylla

Glasya Labolas

Storyline is:
"Having secured a path through the Labyrinth of the Ancients, the fellowship of NOAH finds itself before the entrance to the Crystal Tower proper. With the aid of their new comrades, Unei and Doga, the companions succeed in opening the gate whose workings had baffled even the brightest minds among them. Upon learning that dark forces have awakened within, the fellowship decides to suspend its investigative effort in favor of sealing off the tower. You must fight your way to the apex and defeat the resurrected Emperor Xande, that Eorzea might be free of his all-consuming ambition."

Notice the familiar names of Doga and Unei, the music in the quests you did before this, etc. Lotsa FF3 references. They really piled them on this time. Sadly it seems next part may be the last of the CT, it's hard to imagine how they'd make it much longer.
