Previously, we finished Episode Gladiolus. Now, we will start Episode Prompto.

Episode Prompto starts off after Chapter 11. After some opening scenes, Prompto begins his escape from the First Magitek Production Facility deep in the Ghorovas Rift. The facility offers many opportunities to learn about the mad scientist in charge of the Empire's weapons and troopers.

This episode features a great deal of shooter action, and I confess, I am not that crazy about shooters. In spite of this, the action in this game is pretty cool. Prompto has a couple of "permament" weapons. Pressing up on the D-pad selects the Handgun. The Handgun is used for basic long-range attacks. It has infinite ammo, and you can target the enemy with L1. On the other hand, it is pretty weak. Pressing left on the D-pad selects the Audax Blade, a sword that can be used in close quarters. But to be honest, he is the worst melee character. There are three exchangeable weapons that he can pick up, and these are selected when pressing right on the D-pad. The Rapidus SMG, a sub-machine gun, has a max of 100 rounds and offers rapid fire, good for spraying a group of enemies. The Sagitta Rifle is a sniper rifle. It has a max of 5 rounds and is best at dealing damage to a single target from a great distance. The Alea Bazooka is a rocket launcher with a max of 3 rounds. It does a good amount of splash damage. Once Prompto picks up Lumen Flares, pressing down on the D-pad selects them. These are good for stunning a group of enemies.

As normal, there are also curative items to pick up. I highly recommend it; Prompto is not the hardiest character. As in the normal game, attacks from Magitek troopers and daemons will deplete Prompto's max HP as well as his normal HP.

Prompto can rest and save at Ebony vending machines. Ignis would be thrilled.

Eventually, Prompto makes it to the last rest area in the First Magitek Production Facility, the Production Hangar - Reception Room. Next time, we will continue Episode Prompto.
