Previously, we began Episode Prompto. After being captured by Ardyn in the chilly outlands of Niflheim, Prompto began trying to escape the First Magitek Production Facility. He made it to the Production Hangar - Reception Room near the end of the facility.

After resuming, Prompto presses on and learns some unfortunate truths. Fortunately, he gets some unexpected help in escaping the facility. Simply running out is a good idea.

Prompto escapes the facility on a snowmobile. At least it's not a silly snowboard. As long as you avoid the rockets, things will be fine.

Prompto eventually reaches Decratom Haven, a campsite in the northwest of the snow fields. That evening, he gets some direct advice from his new ally.

In the morning, sidequests become available. Mostly, though, they are good for acquiring Elixirs and upgrading the snowmobile, which does not carry over to the main game. Missed opportunity.

Some strange events happen in the snow field as he figures out what he wants. Then, he joins forces with his new ally. Working together with Aranea, he must head to the northeastern research facility.

After resting at Decratom Haven, Prompto and Aranea infiltrate the Annex Facility in the northeast. A stealthy approach will certainly help. From the guard tower, he can target some fuel canisters and blow up many of the foes down below. The player earns the trophy "Unseen Assassin" for stealth-killing three enemies.

After opening the gate to the facility's entrance area, look out for an MA Veles. It is a good idea to save before heading inside the Annex Facility.

Inside the Annex Facility, there are more records left behind by the mad scientist and others. There is a massive room with lots of enemies, including Attack Nodes and Defense Nodes, which are quite annoying. There is also an MA Hoplomachus. Aranea and her Highwind tech are quite useful.

The last rest area awaits beyond the enemy-filled room. Prompto can raid plenty more items and records. Based on the records, there are more than a few parallels with Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII. Of course, Verstael's last tape reveals who is really behind everything. As if there was any doubt.

Prompto rests at the Annex Facility - Corridor. Next time, he will proceed to the final boss of the episode.
