Fire Emblem: All Arena Entrance Themes and origins (2 of 2)
This second part features the arena entrance themes (and their origins) of Sacred Stones and Shadow Dragon. Sadly, FE6 and 7 dropped this feature and just used a variation on the armoury theme for the arena, but FE8 brought it back with a vengeance.
FE8 Entrance theme
Origin: Prologue, Birth of a Holy Knight (FE4: Seisen no Keifu)
Notes: Even before I played FE4, I loved the pure epicness of this theme. Now that I know it's origin, I consider it one of the best fan tributes in any game I've played. (although I am being biased as FE4 is my favourite game in the series, tied with Radiant Dawn)
FE11 Entrance theme
Origin: Follow Me! (Ephiram's first map theme in FE8: Sacred Stones)
Notes: I always thought SS had one of the most underrated soundtracks in the series (I consider its music to be some of the best on GBA) and Follow Me was great, shame it was only ever used in one chapter. (and got kind of overshadowed by Ephiram's second map theme, not that was epic) I think it suits the arena very well.
As for what will be used in the next FE game, my money's on either Eternal Bond (FE10) or Winds Across the Plains (FE7) although Thracia 776's first map theme could work too.
