In this episode we finish playing through Chapter 20 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Defending Talrega. We climb the hill toward the Talrega Floodgates so we can stop the flood waters. We have to take down some powerful sages, including one with Blizzard and another with a Bolganone which is a very power fire tome. We also fight through some wyvern riders to get to Shiharam, their commander. He’s from Begnion originally and is Jill’s father. He doesn’t want to flood Talrega, but he also doesn’t want to fall out of favor with Daein. We’re forced to kill him, leaving only a few of his troops alive, now on the run and led by Haar. Jill really struggles with the death of her father and her people, but she decides to stay with Crimea. Meanwhile, in the Daein capital, Petrine leaves her subordinate Ena in charge of defending the keep. Ena meets with Nasir, who gives her Lehran’s Medallion, and reveals himself and the Daein spy.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Fire Emblem 9/FE9) is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems (a division of Nintendo) for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. It is the ninth entry in the Fire Emblem series, a beloved Tactical RPG series known for its engaging gameplay, interesting characters, and support conversations. Common themes in the game are racism, the circumstances of one’s birth, and the consequences of war. Path of Radiance is one of the most sought after and expensive GameCube games, and so not many Fire Emblem fans have been able to experience it. So I want to share the game with the world!
Path of Radiance tells the story of Ike, a young Mercenary who lives in the Kingdom of Crimea. When the neighboring nation of Daein invades Crimea, Ike and his mercenary company are forced to evacuate Crimea. When they encounter the lost princess of Crimea, Elincia, their lives change forever. What ensues is a journey of reclaiming their homeland, and confronting a deadly evil.
