In this episode we begin playing through Chapter 21 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Without a King. Ike and the Crimean Army arrive at the Daein capital at Nevassa. Inside Grado Keep they are shocked to find it deserted. They assume they’re walking into a trap, but they have to press on. In the deepest part of the keep, Ena has gathered the last of the soldiers, including the general Kasatai. They’ve decided they all must give their lives to protect the capital. Ena reveals her secret weapon: she is actually a dragon laguz. She is a major threat. This chapter is really, really long, and it can be quite challenging. There are many chests, so it’s important to bring a thief. We get started, and the first few turns are going well. So far...
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Fire Emblem 9/FE9) is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems (a division of Nintendo) for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. It is the ninth entry in the Fire Emblem series, a beloved Tactical RPG series known for its engaging gameplay, interesting characters, and support conversations. Common themes in the game are racism, the circumstances of one’s birth, and the consequences of war. Path of Radiance is one of the most sought after and expensive GameCube games, and so not many Fire Emblem fans have been able to experience it. So I want to share the game with the world!
Path of Radiance tells the story of Ike, a young Mercenary who lives in the Kingdom of Crimea. When the neighboring nation of Daein invades Crimea, Ike and his mercenary company are forced to evacuate Crimea. When they encounter the lost princess of Crimea, Elincia, their lives change forever. What ensues is a journey of reclaiming their homeland, and confronting a deadly evil.
