I have decided to start a playthrough on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, this is a long game as there are multiple paths you can take, and each have a different story. In this game, the main character is Byleth, a mercenary who is living with his father, known as Jeralt the Legendary Blade Breaker, and one day, he comes across a bunch of students who are under attack by bandits.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I will do this game on Hard Mode and Casual Mode, because in Casual Mode, if a unit is defeated in battle, they are unusable for the rest of the battle, if you are playing Classic Mode, it is like playing a very old Fire Emblem game where they will be lost forever if defeated in battle. There is a difficulty called Maddening which is way harder than even Hard mode difficulty, and I do remember older Fire Emblem games had Lunatic and Infernal, but in this game, Maddening is the highest difficulty, I've not played many Fire Emblem games, and this game is one of few. Most of these videos for that playthrough was recorded months in advance, as I have heard it is a longer game.
Then we get an opening cutscene which takes place at Tailtean Plains at Imperial Year 91 where a battle between Saint Seiros and Nemesis took place, and then we encounter a mysterious girl called Sothis, well she doesn't introduce herself at this point, but in a later cutscene. Then we get to pick our gender, and fun fact, Byleth had two different Japanese names for each gender, male Byleth was called Bereto, and female Byleth was called Beresu, and then we pick the date of birth, and I go with 16/1, which was the day Byleth was revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that reveal video got so many dislikes due to how many Fire Emblem characters were in that game. Even though I did play this game before Byleth's reveal, I didn't get too much into the game until Byleth was revealed in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and I believe I was around Chapter 4 or 5 around that time.
In this game, when going through dialogue, you do get different choices, and whichever choice you pick will build up support with different people, for example, if you choose "Of course", you can increase your support with Jeralt. I won't list all the options in the descriptions, so if you check sites like GameFAQs and RPG Site, those have the dialogue options that will increase support, and some options can decrease support, so be careful not to pick them.
Then we find three students who are under attack by bandits, and we go into our first battle. Each of the students can talk with Byleth if they are next to him/her, or them, as most sources use "they" to describe Byleth, and this is a tutorial level, and if you select Claude, you get a tutorial about bows, and I would recommend getting Byleth up a level, and use whichever student you plan on using, because do note that you can only choose one soon into the game. You will also learn about Combat Arts, which are very powerful, but they use up more weapon durability, and you can hide in a forest, which will boost your chances of avoiding attacks, and this is good for units with lower defense. Do note that this game does not have a Weapon Triangle, in older Fire Emblem games, the order was Swords, Axes, and Lances, so Swords had the advantage over Axes.
Midway through the fight, Jeralt will enter and as he is a powerful unit, he can defeat any bandits, and if he does, no experience will be earned, so try not to let Jeralt steal your kills. The enemy commander has unique dialogue if Byleth or Jeralt were to face him, the commander is a harder opponent, but you should be able to defeat him, but make sure you do it with whichever student you want to level up, you can have Claude weaken him, and then have Byleth deal the finishing blow, and if Jeralt tries to finish off the commander, he will always survive with 1 HP, and defeating the commander will give you an Iron Axe.
Then we go through a cutscene and dialogue, and with the help of Sothis, we can turn back the hands of time so that we can stop the bandit leader from attacking our students.
Alois, an old friend of Jeralt, and one of the leaders of the Knights of Seiros, will come and we go through some dialogue, and if you select "I'm a bandit", that will increase support with Alois, and then we interact with the three students, and Byleth finds out that they come from different nations across Fódlan, Edelgard is from the Adrestian Empire, Dimitri is from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Claude is from the Leicester Alliance, and whichever nation you pick will boost the support with one of the students, but this does not decide which house you will pick.
