Fire Emblem: Three Houses Playthrough 3 (Blue Lions): Choosing a House
1It is time for Byleth, who has become a professor at Garreg Mach Monastery, to choose which house to lead. For this playthrough, I will be doing the Blue Lion house, led by Dimitri and houses students from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, some of the students known to be chivalrous in battle. There is a mock battle coming up in the next few days, and Byleth has one day to explore Garreg Mach Monastery and see what it has to offer.

After talking with the house leaders, Byleth has to go back to the Audience Chamber and report to Rhea, and then we get a choice on which house to teach, and I have decided to go with Blue Lions for this playthrough. This house excels at military arts, most of which are skilled at using lances, and two students from that house can use magic attacks. Then we go through some more dialogue, and we see Seteth's youngster sister Flayn, and Seteth tells us about a mock battle coming up soon which will be a fight between the three houses.
Depending on which house you pick, some characters will have different dialogue if you talk to them around the Monastery. After talking with Dimitri and the other students, Byleth goes to Hanneman's office and learns about Crests, and then it is time to explore the Monastery.
We learn from Dimitri about Facilities, Bulletin Boards, Activity Points, and Professor Level, the house leader explaining about it will depend on which house you picked, and since this is Blue Lions, Dimitri is giving the tutorials.
Activity Points are used for any action Byleth does on his free day, like using the dining hall or other facilities. Bulletin boards contain requests from people and is updated every month, and there are three requests you can take for this month, the first one is Green Thumb Beginnings, and it is from Dedue, who will give you some seeds to plant at the Greenhouse, they are just called Dedue's Seeds, and it is a meme in the Three Houses community, this game does have a lot of memes. Talk to the Greenhouse keeper to plan the seeds, and you can choose to cultivate them by infusing them with magic, and they will be ready to be harvested after a week.
Another request is Fresh Catch, and it is requested by Flayn, she will be at the dining hall, and she gives you some bait, which can be used for fishing. Do note that fishing does not use up any Activity Points, and to fish, you have to press A at the right time, and when the fish's stamina is depleted to zero, you have caught it. With Flayn's Bait, you can catch a Carassius, and you have to talk to Flayn in order to complete the quest.
The third request is Share a Bite, Sylvain will give you that quest, and to complete it, you have to go to the Dining Hall and share a meal with two people, and because Sylvain was the one that gave us the quest, our only options are female characters. When you share a meal, it will boost motivation and support between all three of you, so it's not just Byleth, it will also increase support between the two characters chosen, this is one of the best ways to increase support between students. Some characters have special dialogue, if you pick Mercedes and Annette, they have unique dialogue when you share a meal with them. Sharing a meal does use up an Activity Point, and this is one of the best things to use it for, this will also boost Professor Level, which means if you can do more activities the higher the Professor Level.
On the first floor, you can enter the library, which will explain about the lore of Fódlan, so it does give some history behind the three nations of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, Adrestian Empire, and Leicester Alliance, and if you want to read some of the lore, I recommend pausing the video, because I don't want to waste too much time with those, and if you press ZL while talking to people, it keeps a log of what the character has said, so if you accidentally skip the dialogue, you can press ZL, and if you press A, it will play the dialogue said, there might be times where I accidentally press A when talking to people.
Some characters have different dialogue depending on the house chosen, and since this is Blue Lions, Sylvain has different dialogue if you are playing as female Byleth, otherwise he has completely different dialogue if you are not playing on Blue Lions, and some have different dialogue outside of the respective house, like Petra, Ignatz, and a few others, and some of which depend on Byleth's gender, like if you talk to Manuela. If you talk to Jeralt while playing the Golden Deer route, he has extra dialogue where he will tell you about Leonie, but if you are playing on any route other than Golden Deer, he doesn't have the extra dialogue.
