It is time for the mock battle between the three houses, and that Byleth must lead the Blue Lions to victory against the other two houses. Not only does he have to deal with Edelgard and Claude's students, but they also have to fight against Manuela and Hanneman, as they are professors and they are also leading classes as well.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The mock battle in Chapter 1 starts, and another thing I didn't go over in the description of the previous part is that 4/30 is Ferdinand's birthday, and on a character's birthday, you can deliver flowers them, while it costs 200 G, you can boost support points by doing so.
In the mock battle, you have to battle the other two houses, so I have to take on both the Black Eagles and Golden Deer students, on the Black Eagles side, I have to fight Edelgard, Hubert, Dorothea, and Ferdinand, and on the Golden Deer side, my opponents are Claude, Hilda, Lorenz, and Ignatz, and I also have to fight Manuela and Hanneman as well.
If you picked a route that isn't Blue Lions, you have to fight Dimitri, Dedue, Mercedes, and Ashe, and in this chapter, you can only select five units, so I recommend using your house leader and three others that would be best for this chapter.
As this is a mock battle, if you are playing on Classic Mode, you do not lose that unit if they are defeated in battle. A good strategy is to use the forest to your advantage, and try to defeat each student one at a time, if you think you cannot defeat them in one turn, using Combat Arts can help in those fights. Healers are very useful for this, but the downside is that they only have five uses of Heal at this point, and having a Mage can be good, specially if you didn't pick Blue Lions, because Dedue has good Defense, but he does not have good Resistance, and Archers can be good help for ranged attacking.
As Healing is limited, it's recommend that each unit has at least one Vulnerary. There is also unique dialogue if Byleth and the house leader take on the opposing house leader, and for Hanneman and Manuela's placement, it will depend on the house chosen, so in Blue Lions, Hanneman will be leading the Golden Deer house, and Manuela will be leading the Black Eagle house, and they will always start on a healing tile, which will heal them at the end of each turn if they have taken damage.
All opponents will have a Training weapon, like the Training Sword, while Hubert and Dorothea can use Iron Swords, and Hilda uses a Hand Axe. Lorenz, Ignatz, and Dorothea will start moving at the start of the battle, Hilda and Claude will not start moving unless you provoke them, and they do start in a forest, allow them to avoid attacks easier, and the Black Eagles will not move until you have defeated all the Golden Deer students or if you approach them.
Then for the professors, Hanneman is a magic user, he has two spells, Wind and Sagittae, and he has an ability called Unsealable Magic, which makes him immune to the Silence status. Manuela is also a magic user, but she has Nosferatu, which is light magic in this game, because I believe Nosferatu was dark magic in previous Fire Emblem games, because that move was Robin's down special in the Super Smash Bros. games, and that used dark magic. Manuela is also a healer, she has Heal and Ward, Ward increases a unit's resistance for that turn, she also has Unsealable Magic as well, and when defeated, Hanneman will drop an Intermediate Seal, which allows your unit to take part in a certification exam, and if they succeed, they will promote into a different class.
Then we get some more scenes after winning the mock battle, and Byleth receives his next mission from Seteth and Rhea, and learn about the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, which will not happen until months later, and then we get another scene with Kostas, the bandit commander from the prologue and a mysterious armoured being with a mask known as the Flame Emperor, or just ???, who could this mysterious being really be?
