Byleth is given his next quest from Rhea, and he has to stop a group of thieves that have stolen a Hero's Relic called the Lance of Ruin, and their leader is Miklan, the brother of Sylvain and was disowned by House Gautier. After learning about his Crest from Hanneman, he then learns about Edelgard's dark backstory.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

After completing Chapter 4, you will obtain the Sword of the Creator, and this will allow Byleth to use Ruptured Heaven, which deals bonus damage against Dragon units, and it adds 0.3 Magic to Might, and if Byleth rests for the day, it will restore 5 durability. We then learn that Byleth has the Crest of Flames, which was thought to have been disappeared from existance after the defeat of Nemesis a thousand years ago, and the Crest of Flames has a chance of restoring 30% of the damage dealt, and rarely raises Might and stops counterattacks.
Then we have Byleth's C Support with Edelgard, which gives us a bit of dark backstory, and this Support isn't viewed until this chapter, and on other routes, a visitor would come, but on Black Eagles, we don't get any visitors, Rodrigue is present at the Monastery for this month, and he does get an introduction scene on the Blue Lions route.
This chapter has a lot of sidequests, the main one is from Seteth, where you have to find Jeralt, after accepting the quest from Seteth, talk to Leonie, she will be outside Jeralt's room. Then talk to Catherine at the Knight's Hall, then go back and talk to Seteth, and he will tell you the location of the cemetary, then talk to Jeralt, and he will talk about his wife, who died after Byleth's birth, and he shows you a ring, which does become important later in the game. There is some backstory behind Byleth's mother, which the Cindered Shadows side story does go over, but I will not spoil the DLC side story.
For other sidequests, Flayn has one, and you have to go to the Cathedral and pick up some sparkling items by the saint statues, and after completing the quest, you can upgrade the saint statues, and this does carry over through New Game +, and it does require Renown, and this unlocks growth bonuses which is very helpful for your units.
There are two battle quests, one is from Seteth, and another is from a Merchant at the Marketplace, and the Merchant's quest is very important, because this allows you to buy items like bait, tea leaves, and gifts. There is another quest that unlocks the Blacksmith, you have to pick up an Iron Wielding Material and report to the Blacksmith, and that will unlock the ability to forge or reapir weapons. The first week of that month is the best time to fish, because you can catch more than one fish on that day.
Rhea has two quests, the first one is a tea party with her, and that does use an Activity Point, and the other is where you have to give two students herbs to relieve their issues, and on the Black Eagles route, the two units you have to give them to are Linhardt and Bernadetta.
Starting from this month, you can recruit Cyril on any route other than Black Eagles, you need to have Byleth at Level 10 in order to recruit him, so there is yet another unit I cannot recruit on this route. There is Gilbert of the Knights of Seiros, and he is our guide for this mission, and he can only do support conversations on the Blue Lions route, but he at least is one of few Faculty Training staff that can train Byleth's Heavy Armor skill.
Next are the lost items for this chapter, I will list which units have lost items:
Linhardt, Bernadetta, Petra, Felix, Sylvain, Ingrid, Ignatz, Lysithea, Cyril

Then for units who have different quotes based on the route, and as this route is about Sylvain's brother stealing a Hero's Relic, almost all of the Blue Lions units, and even Rodrigue, have different quotes if you are playing on the Blue Lions route, or if you have recruited some of the Blue Lions students, and Ashe has extra quotes if you talk to him on the Blue Lions route. As for other units, Linhardt, Caspar, and Lysithea have different quotes based on the route of if you have recruited either of them, and on the Black Eagles route, Hubert has extra dialogue if you talk to him and Edelgard. I feel like most of the first half of the game is more focused on the Blue Lions in terms of the story, while the Black Eagles have it very rough early on where certain units cannot be recruited.
