It is time for Byleth and the Blue Lions students to access the Holy Tomb, which is where Sothis's throne is said to be, but we get a surprise attack from the Flame Emperor. We must try and stop the Flame Emperor's group from stealing the Crest Stones, and a shocking reveal causes Dimitri lose his mind.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

It is time for Chapter 11, and we go through some dialogue before our battle. Rhea shows Byleth the Holy Tomb, which is where Sothis's throne is at, but then the Imperial Army attacks, and this surprise attack was led by the Flame Emperor. This chapter has some different effects depending on the route, and since this is the Blue Lions route, I feel this one plays out the plot twist very well, because on the Black Eagles route, the Flame Emperor's true identity is revealed before the start of the battle, and we don't get that plot twist moment on that route.
The objective of this map is to prevent the enemy forces from stealing the Crest Stones, well you don't have to try and save all of them, as it is not a huge requirement, but it would be good to try and stop all of them from being stolen. If you have some good Cavalry or Flying units, they should be able to focus on defeating the Crest Stone thieves, because once they steal them, they will escape. There are two Demonic Beasts on this map, one is weak to Lances, and the other is weak to Axes.
If you are playing on the Black Eagles route, Edelgard cannot be deployed for obvious reasons, and Hubert is not available, even for this map. Some of the Mysterious Mages on this map can use Gambits, so watch out for them.
Defeating any Imperial Soldiers that have stolen the Crest Stones will cause them to drop the Crest Stones, and they end up in your inventory. An enemy Priest on Hard mode will drop a Vulnerary when defeated.
Then to go over the Flame Emperor and their assistant, and I have seen some sources refer to the Flame Emperor as "they", although most characters refer to the Flame Emperor as "he".
Metodey is the Flame Emperor's assistant, he has a Venin Edge, which can inflict poison to his opponents, it is also known as the Poison Sword. He does have Poison Strike, which reduces you maximum HP by 20%, so he can weaken your units if you are not careful around him. Like Kronya in chapter 10, Metodey has high Speed, and he is an Assassin, so he can avoid attacks easily, and he has good Dexterity.
Then for the Flame Emperor, this is a very tough opponent that has high HP, and good Strength, Defense, and Charm stats, and the Flame Emperor has a Battalion that can inflict Raging Flames which has a wide area of effect. Like with the Death Knight, the Flame Emperor also has Counterattack, being able to counter no matter what the range is, and with Seal Strength and Seal Magic, the Flame Emperor can reduce your Strength and Magic after initiating combat. If you fight the Flame Emperor with Byleth or Dimitri, they will have unique battle quotes.
With the Flame Emperor defeated, only on the Blue Lions route do we get a cutscene where the Flame Emperor's mask is removed, and Dimitri goes crazy from finding out the truth, and I have read somewhere that Dimitri's voice actor, Chris Hackney, did not know the Flame Emperor's true identity until he recorded his lines for that scene, which does go well with how Dimitri reacted in that cutscene.
Without spoiling too much on the other routes, nothing special happens for the Golden Deer route, but on the Black Eagles route, depending on your actions on that chapter, you get put in a very tough choice that will change the story, which does hint that there is a secret route on Black Eagles only, but I won't go too far with it.
As for rewards, if at least half of the Crest Stones were recovered, you get an Advanced Seal, but if you are able to recover all of them, you get a Knowledge Gem and a Rusted Bow which can be forged into a Silver Bow.
