From September 31st till September 30th, Grass and Electric-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the Max Raid Battles, I wonder if next month will have Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon make frequent appearances.
As for the following Pokémon, you can find Toxtricity, Boltund, Heliolisk, Flapple, Appletun, Ferrothorn, and Eldegoss. Flapple and Appletun are version exclusive, you can fight Appletun in Sword, and Flapple in Shield, and for Toxtricity, which can appear in its Gigantamax form, you can get Low-Key Form in Sword, and Amped Form in Shield.
Then for Hidden Abilities and viability in online battle, and starting things off is Toxtricity, its Hidden Ability is Technician, even if it is not a bad Ability, there is no reason to have Technician on Toxtricity, because Punk Rock is already good enough, and its access to moves like Overdrive, Boomburst, and Snarl, its Electric-type moves become G-Max Stun Shock, which can paralyze of poison its opponents. For online battles, Sludge Wave is better in Single Battles, while Sludge Bomb is good in Double Battles, but aside from that, Toxtricity has good Special Attack and decent Speed, Amped Form can get Shift Gear to give it a boost in Speed and Attack, which can make using a Mixed Attacker not a bad idea for Toxtricity.
Next up is Boltund, its Hidden Ability is Competitive, which does give it some reasons to use a Special set, but its Special movepool is limited, Thunderbolt, Snarl, and Volt Switch are the best it can get, but this does give Boltund viability in Double Battles. While it's nowhere as good as Mega Manectric in previous games, Boltund is a fast Electric-type, and it is a good user of Rising Voltage in Electric Terrain, and with access to Electrify, if its teammate is Dynamaxed, it can make its partner use Max Lightning, so that way Boltund can make great use of Rising Voltage.
Heliolisk's Hidden Ability is Solar Power, which can make it not a bad choice for a sun team, and with access to some good Special moves like Hyper Voice and Thunderbolt, and it is also another Pokémon that can learn Electrify, which it can use on a Dynamaxed teammate to make them use Max Lightning so Heliolisk can use Rising Voltage to its advantage. Heliolisk can use some good Special moves like Solar Beam and Dragon Pulse. While Solar Power is better in Double Battles, in Single Battles, Dry Skin is preferred, specially on rain teams and it can use moves like Surf and Thunderbolt, it can also make good use of Volt Switch and Glare.
Then for the other Gigantamax options, starting with Flapple, Hustle is its Hidden Ability, and its Grass-type moves become G-Max Tartness, which decrease the target's Evasiveness, which is helpful with Hustle's 80% Accuracy in its moves. Flapple is a decent Physical attacker with access to Dragon Dance and moves like Grav Apple, Outrage, and Sucker Punch, and if it has Rillaboom as a teammate with Grassy Surge, Flapple can make good use of Grassy Glide. While Heavy Slam is questionable because of Flapple's light weight, Max Steelspike can give it the Defense boost that can help it in battle.
Then for its counterpart Appletun, it has G-Max Sweetness from its Grass-type moves, which cures its allies status conditions, its Hidden Ability is Thick Fat, which is a useful Ability for it. Appletun is the more defensive out of the two, and it has access to Leech Seed and Recover to heal off some damage, while Apple Acid and Dragon Pulse are there for attacks. Iron Defense and Body Press is another good combo for Appletun, so that way it can get off some good damage using its Defense stat.
Next is Ferrothorn, and while it has been a top tier Pokémon throughout its competitive history, it has a bad Hidden Ability, it gets Anticipation. Iron Barbs is the Ability you want on it, and Ferrothorn can use many different sets, the most notable is Stealth Rock and Leech Seed, while Power Whip, Gyro Ball, and Body Press are good options for attacking, and when paired with Iron Defense, that can give Body Press the power to deal some extra damage. Leftovers and Rocky Helmet are popular item choices for Ferrothorn, and it has remained a great Pokémon in the competitive scene even to this day.
Last up is Eldegoss, it has good Special Defense, and its Hidden Ability is Effect Spore, you might not want to go for it, Cotton Down is helpful in slowing down its opponents, and it can use moves like Giga Drain, Sleep Powder, and Leech Seed. It is one of few Pokémon to get Rapid Spin, and in Double Battles, Eldegoss can get some nice support moves like Pollen Puff and Aromatherapy, but aside from that, Eldegoss is outclassed by better Grass-types.
