Fire Emblem: Three Houses S1 E36 (121) Part 2 [Reupload]
I was hemmed in real good at the start of things, as Gilbert outperformed my expectations as he ran through the opposition with support from Ashe. Admittedly, I was stuck wondering what to do with my slow moving magicians to the east although Annette and Mercedes handled their portion well enough. Where is our dude Dedue, because we know that he would make short work of these scrubs? However, once Sylvain, Ingrid, and Felix joined the fray I knew I could be at ease. I was worried that the treasure chests were so far scattered that it would prolong the map, but it was not as bad as I remembered. I probably overvalued the potency of Pallardo and his bodyguards as we measured up to take him down like an old school rainbow six game. This map greatly succeeds at being a thematic battle, however, once we were reinforced it seemed like things were well in hand for the player.
At the start of the map, the player is confronted with a dire situation, but we get the sense that this team of Blue Lions can handle anything by the close of the chapter. Pallardo surviving his initial defeat was an interesting device, but I accidentally had units at the ready (honestly, I forgot about this aspect of the map) which probably ruined this part of the map accidentally. There is not much pretext for this prior to the DLC that incorporates Anna, however, it would be a cool chase scene for the player to engage in. Mostly, this map was about not biting off more than you can chew than overarching strategy, not that this is necessarily a bad thing every once in a while. It was not a hard map overall, but it was certainly hard enough in the beginning! I am more excited about maps to come. Playlist information is provided below.
**NOTES** I am excited to start things fresh in these episodes with fully new recordings. At the same time, these episodes are bloated by the albeit average slice of life storytelling device of Garreg Mach. In the future, I will limit this part of the recording to the houses themselves having had recorded the Blue Lion slog of talking to everyone in this playlist. Because I know that this limits the quality of the video, it is just too long. These episodes are normally scheduled for noon EST. We are currently sitting 27-10 we had an episode off air affecting our count, and Sylvain is awarded the MVP--primarily because he is one of the better units in a superior class. The next episode will be extremely pivotal for the story so see you then.
