Fire Emblem: Three Houses S1 E40 (126) Part 1
1Annette and Gilbert have decided to recover house Dominic's relic. The Blue Lions have decided to support their efforts, but can one weapon make a difference? Byleth believes that the symbolism of relics could help the morale of Faerghus' army. Baron Dominic was unwilling to part with the relic, so it falls upon the Blue Lions to remove the weapon forcibly. We are separated from Annette and Gilbert which is going to be a problem not because the enemy is closing in, but because I thought I could move them (looking back, there was dialogue that alludes to not moving either). The rest of my troops are set to move toward them and poach outlying troops along the way. This is going to be a messy battle.
Baron Dominic lacks the resources to defend his lands from Cornelia, therefore, he is compelled to bend the knee to her dukedom. House Gautier and Fraldarius for their part hold vast territories that are self sustaining and affluent enough to wait out being sieged. Unfortunately, if we were to overthrow Cornelia Baron Dominic would just as likely side with us, meaning that this ensuing battle is senseless because this noble lacks agency. The enemy is so static that they are easy to manipulate knowing what I know now, in practice I get steamrolled because I did not comprehend the unique dynamics of this map. In fact, Annette and Gilbert may or may not get attacked eventually, but most of the enemy troops that automatically activate are attacking our other units. This one was frustrating.
**NOTES** So it eventually becomes clear that I should not move Gilbert and Annette, but this will be, it took me a while to learn that lesson. I keep on making the same moves with the main effort while finding new ways to lose Annette. Almost comically, the knights will only target Annette so even if Annette runs off and Gilbert attacks they will knock Annette over. It is hard to watch but I got to stay authentic. These episodes are normally scheduled for noon EST. We are currently sitting 29-11 we had an episode off air affecting our count, and we will determine our MVP in part two. The chapter ends eventually next episode.
