Here is Fire Emblem Warriors for the Nintendo Switch, which released in 2017, and is getting a new game with the same title, so I decided to do a playthrough on this game, and this was a game that I did play a lot of back then, and as I have not played since then, there might be times where I try to remember what controls are for what.
As for the story of this game, you play as either Rowan or Lianna, the twin siblings of the kingdom of Aytolis, and neither of them want to rule over the kingdom, and would rather have the other sibling rule, and then the kingdom is under attack, and they are forced to escape with the help of a man named Darios from Gristonne.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

When you start up Fire Emblem Warriors, you can pick whichever character you can pick, you do get to play as the other later in the game, and I could go over their stat differences, Rowan has better HP, Strength, and Speed, and Lianna has better Magic and Resistance, both of them use swords. I did read somewhere online that they were planned to use a lance or an axe, but were given swords to help with the early chapters in the game.
Before the prologue, this takes place in some in an unknown location, and for this one, you have to defeat four monsters, and you get to play as Marth, Chrom, and Corrin for that, and you cannot replay that section of the game.
After that, it goes back to what happened before then, and we get some cutscenes, and the Prologue is there, and all you do is just defeat the Monster that is blocking the escape point. Then we receive a shield from Queen Yelena, the mother of the twins, but unfortunately, we have to leave her behind.
Then we go to the next Chapter, and you do get a defeat condition, that is if either Rowan, Lianna, or Darios fall in battle, and you have to escape the city. You do get some Vulneraries, which do get replenished at the end of each battle, so they are not limited use. Your first quest is to defeat the Gatekeeper, which feels strange to see Gatekeeper used for a monster enemy and not the infamous Gatekeeper from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, this game did come out before Three Houses by two years, makes me wonder what role the Gatekeeper will get in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
You do get a sub-mission, which are optional, but you do get good rewards for completing them, a Villager will be attacked by Monsters, and you get a Large Warrior Tonic for that, Warrior Tonics refill your Warrior Gauge, and you can use a Special Attack if the Warrior Gauge is full.
After defeating the two Monsters in the Plaza, more Monsters will spawn, and we get a cutscene where the twins are no match against the Monsters, and they are saved by a masked swordsman who happens to go by the name of Marth, and this is the Marth that appeared in Fire Emblem Awakening. You do get to play as Marth for a bit, and he does have his full combo chain unlocked, but he will not gain experience in battle, and after clearing out the Monsters, Marth disappears, and you then have to play as one of the twins and get to the escape point.
