Part 2 of my first play-through of DOOM II. I definitely haven't learnt the optimal strategies to deploy in any given situation yet, but I think I have given the game enough credit to give me the arms I need so that I don't horde the more powerful ammo. Plus I bank on myself to get *some* secrets to help me out.

Considering how little has really changed from DOOM, it's surprising how different this game feels from its predecessor. The new enemies and map environments make a difference to how I approach the game.

I suspect the step-up from HMP to UV is slightly less than in The Ultimate DOOM, since the numbers of Things aren't majorly different from what I can see from the wikis. But maybe that's me being foolish?

Spoiler alert - I did that classic thing of getting lost again. But I did survive my first encounters with Arch-Viles. Knowing about how they deal damage ahead of time certainly helped there!!
