Fist of the Dark Souls 3 Raoh Gaiden: Raoh vs Deacons of the Deep
0After dispatching of the Abyss Watchers, the way forward is cleared for him. However, he had one more piece of business left in the region. He recalled a conversation with the noble knight Anri, who informed him that they were searching for Aldrich, one of the Lords of Cinder. The cathedral where he rested was not far, and thus, Raoh took it upon himself to pay him a visit.
After combating a Crystal Sage, various hollow hordes, and even a couple giants, Raoh finally found himself at Aldrich's resting place, encountering Anri and Horace along the way. The three set out to defeat the Lord of Cinder. However, something else was waiting for them instead...

This fight, mechanically speaking, is nothing too complicated. It's essentially a more structured version of the church fight from Dark Souls 2. Hence why I wanted to focus on story building for this one.
The interactions between Anri and the player are unique in that, while the previous Dark Souls games had NPCs that also followed your journey path, none of them have had an actual effect on what ending you can get in the game. In a sense, that's the real reason for going through with his/her sidequest, as you can get her sword whether you complete it or not. There's also the story implication for role play purposes, but that's also a lot trickier to do.
A lot of the side quests in DaS3 in general seem to feel unfinished, as the rewards you get for completing some of them don't feel worth the effort. But that's a rant for another day. Anri as a character, however, is probably the most unique one in the game.
