This is based on my experience.

Every time I turn on the PC it will show some errors and need to press F1 to enter the BIOS.

I need to boot manually by pressing F8 and choose where is my boot device or windows located.

Some times it does not detect the keyboard and mouse.

I need to turn off for about 5 to 10 seconds to fix this issue.

I am using Intel i7 4790 and Asus H97M E.

If changing the batteries does not work then you need to flash the bios.

My board is using bios version 0333 (9May2014).

I tried to update to the latest version which is Version 2702 (15April2016) but it failed.

As I am using intel 4th generation, I think I should go for the latest update before the intel 5th generation.

So I download the version 2205 (24October2014), copy into a USB drive.

Restart the PC and enter the BIOS.

Press F7 to enter the ASUS advance BIOS settings will help you a lot.

Find the Asus EZ Flash utility at under tool tab.

Just select the zip file of the BIOS that you downloaded.

Once finish the PC will restart and please go to bios again and turn off or disable the fast boot option.

Good luck.
