FLUDDless 0x Pianta Entry
18The ABC strat to enter Pianta Village relies on a glitch that lets Mario clip through the ground if he exits the box game room with downward speed stored. Then we can hover into the room’s warp from below without actually entering the room, in order to gain a lot of height and dive onto the Shine Gate.
This is usually done by ground pounding inside the room, which stores a vertical speed of -75 (the biggest downward speed you can get without turbo storage). However, I discovered that a vertical speed of -8 is enough to clip, which gives us a lot more leeway to reach the warp. In fact, we can simply dive into it that way.
So I use a fruit to store -11 VS from a dive, sidestep out of the room, dive and ground pound into the warp while simultaneously Y-turning towards the Shine Gate, dive again, and voilà! Pianta access without A or FLUDD!
