FOC Alliance 7.63XB - The AI interdicting the reinforces from the Starbase
After be testing several things and not be sure about if I could automatically the interdictor ability from the AI without lose the activation from the interdictor if the human player retreated the battle or the missile shield ability. I could find the solution, it was not too difficult, just a piece of code in the correct position.
The problem was how the interdictor code is simple but it is special and it does not accept all type of lua additions. Now you can see in the video how it runs and if the AI has one of these special starships, you will not be able to get your additional starbase reinforces.
Other changes are fighter squadrons limited by example.
Well, now I can continue with other things. Lately I was thinking how the GC with many planets has a big problem. You can get many credits easily, there are many planets with many resources, however, these structures giving additional credits were thought for the GC with less planets. Perhaps the creation from one big GC without them would be good.
Other thing which clearly gives a great advantage to the human player, it is the raid attack. Remove it would be easy but..........it would be bad because in the smaller GC this advantage is reduced and it gives a point of additional strategy and fun if you use as it was thought and not conquering additional planets with a biltzkrieg attack. I do not see a very good solution with this.
Anyways, the final version is more difficult than the version seen by you at my videos. The AI has more planets, more infantry units in the begining and its units are more powerful in battles (a small cheat from the original game). These things give a better challenge and more fun.
