I was not online for quite some time, first for health reasons and then for work. When I logged back into Forge of Empires, I got a "welcome back" surprise. This feature is available since the middle of last year for those players who have found their way back to Forge of Empires after some time away. In today's video, I'll show you exactly what this returnee surprise is all about.
The returnee is offered a series of quests. The quest tasks are within the usual framework and therefore easy to complete. A few Forge points are to be spent at the beginning and you will receive 20 Forge points in return. A good deal.
Then collect some supplies and coins and in return you will receive 150 goods, i.e. five times 30 goods of the current age.
Five decorations should then be erected, whereby even menhirs are sufficient. The population should always be enthusiastic anyway, which is no longer an obstacle thanks to the many event buildings. There is a set of 2x5 units of the current age.
But now comes the kicker. After just three quest tasks, i.e. a few minutes, the first milestone in the quest series has been reached and there is a mountain reserve selection kit for it. The mountain sanctuary was once the main prize in the first game park event. It is still an excellent building that can be upgraded from level 1 to level 6 using upgrade kits. With the next upgrade kit, you can then choose one of three high-end event buildings:
- Bear Mountain
- Moose Mountain
- Eagle Mountain
The quest series continues in the same style and the next milestones each give you another selection kit, for which you can either get a level 1 mountain reserve or an upgrade kit for it.
However, after quest 9, you are forced to take a break. You can only complete the next tasks on the following day, which means that the whole series of quests must be completed over several days.

In view of such an attractive price, one wonders whether it is really a motivation to return, because most people have no idea what awaits them on their return.
Rather, it could be motivation to take a break from Forge of Empires to enjoy this quest series.
I recommend that guild leaders collect a contact option (e.g. email address or WhatsApp) from all members in order to motivate dropped out players after a long absence. Many players already have enjoyed playing again after a break.
As you can see, I opted for the Eagle Mountain.
