Forza Horizon 4 via Game Pass for PC
0Forza Horizon 3 on PC is the first Horizon game I experienced and it was hands down one of the most enjoyable racing games I ever played. Forza Horizon 4 is better and has proven to be a winning formula for Microsoft. I only started playing FH 4 today and it was only supposed to be an hour long play session. 4 hours later I was wondering where the time went. Even more impressive, most of that time was spent just driving around checking out the map and sharing the road with other players.
Forza Horizon 4 (as well as Horizon 3 before it) reminds me a lot of Burnout: Paradise at times, one of my 5 best racing games I've ever played, in the sense that it just feels really good to drive around and explore the map, find shortcuts and race random people from time to time. The presentation is stellar and Forza Horizon 4 in general is a great show piece for Microsoft hardware.
One thing I don't understand though, various Youtuber's keep going on and on about Sony's take on HD Rumble. Let's be real now, it IS Sony's take on Nintendo's HD Rumble for Switch. As if Sony's implementation is some exclusive concept for the now current gen of consoles. Yet, lo and behold, Forza Horizon 4 has HD Rumble in the triggers of the Elite 2 controller too which I used to play the game earlier today. Also, the HD rumble in the Elite 2 controller is definitely varied because the brake causes more rumble than the gas and even then it varies based on which car you use and which custom controller profile you're using. Playing Streets of Rage 4 with an Elite 2 doesn't feel the same as playing Forza Horizon 4 at all but both provide great force feedback. Yet, no one is talking about this? Sometimes, the start of a new generation can be annoying as hell when fanboys don't want to give credit where it's due.
