This was a whopping 22 minute and 35 second improvement over my previous PB. What happened? Well, I discovered that you do not lose speed boosts or your bubbles after getting a game over. This means that it's not only well worth your time to grind for them in places, but it also removes a giant challenge factor from this category—needing bubbles or super speed in all the tight situations you'll run into.
There weren't any that serious mistakes in this run but I'd still say a sub-45 is possible just because there was a lot of risks I didn't take in the run, nor do I think this is the final say on the optimal route.
