[TAS] Kid Chameleon "Maximum Score" - Work in Progress
33Merry Christmas! This is the progress I've made thus far on the Maximum Score TAS. Unfortunately, I will not be working on it anymore as I simply cannot meet a time commitment of this magnitude. Q: Why are you using 2 players!?
A: 2-player mode has two glitches which can be abused. In the video, player 1 helps set up these glitches so that player 2 can score more points—about 1,000 total. Both glitches are fully explained throughout the following videos:

Q: Can I just watch the levels which directly contribute to the final score?
A: Sure

Q: Why did you restart round on Elsewhere 1?
A: It is faster to get rid of Iron Knight this way than for his detransformation animation to play out. Edit: TheRandomPie_IV has since discovered it is actually faster to restart round on the same frame as collecting the Cyclone helmet instead. Consult him on the input for that if you wish to continue this project.
Q: What happened at 5:43?
A: This was just found two weeks ago. If you fly into that corner as Cyclone and move right while still touching the ceiling, you will clip through. It is actually quite easy to do in real time.
Q: How do you instantly die at 5:51 (and at other points)?
A: If you run into a wall or object while airwalking (tapping the crouch button every other frame), you instantly die. If you go frame by frame, you can see two consecutive crouches right before the death.
Q: Why do you only collect 2 clocks in some levels when collecting more would've given you more points?
A: This is due to a wacky glitch where if you collect three clocks in a level, 120 seconds will be added to your level completion time, instantly losing you the speed bonus on most levels. I know, it doesn't make any sense. During this run, collecting three clocks will only be okay during Bagel Brothers because the speed bonus on that level is 220 seconds, meaning you still have 100 seconds to work with after collecting the third clock.
Q: Why did player 1 get two 10K blocks in the Black Pit when they are not focused on score?
A: This is to skip two end-of-level extra life animations which are 6 seconds altogether. The first is to skip the very next animation and the second is to set up the right score for another skip later.
Q: Why did you still get the “No Prize” bonus after collecting the 10-diamonds prize on The Valley of Life?
A: 10-diamonds and 10000 points prizes do not cancel the “No Prize” bonus.
