AD&D: Cloudy Mountain (TI-89 100%) in 1:37 [World Record]
6Achieved on December 28, 2020 on Virtual TI emulator. Despite having no sound, color, and a nightmare to play on an actual TI-89, this version is actually pretty good! It's harder and faster than the original Intellivision version which is a huge plus for me, and the status bar at the bottom is the cherry on top, giving all the information you need.
In this run, you need to collect the boat, axe, and key before collecting both crown halves in Cloudy Mountain. RNG is brutal because the chamber networks seem larger than on the Intellivision, so enemies are harder to find; especially in the correct order. RNG was amazing on this run though, and even with a couple of search inaccuracies, the fact that I actually beat my record of 1:58 from the original Intellivision makes me satisfied enough with this.
Glitches are allowed in this category, and includes holding the 🠉 and ◆ keys (Shift and Control if using Virtual TI) when entering mountains to instantly beat them (no that is not a splice at 0:54 lol). Holding those buttons when entering Cloudy Mountain gives you one half of the crown already collected. If the latter seems cheap to you, I would've found the first half regardless in the chamber at 1:35 in the video.
