Free DLC For Assassins Creed Unity
6The launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity was troubled to say the least, with Ubisoft saying “the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues”. Ain’t that the truth – I recently reviewed the game if you want to check that out on the Button Bash YouTube channel, but I experienced a handful of crashes and animation glitches.
In response to this, Ubisoft are giving the ‘Dead Kings’ AC Unity expansion to everyone, for free. The game does also have a Season Pass, though, so to avoid ripping off Season Pass holders by giving away one of the expansions it encompasses for free, they’re actually getting an entire game for free, too.
Games available to choose from are The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance 2015. So, these are actually really high-profile games – Ubisoft could’ve included much cheaper games like Child of Light and Valiant Hearts, but didn’t. And I mean, they didn’t need to, because obviously everyone is going to go with Just Dance. Let’s be real.
Ubisoft are still working on setting up a system for giving players the free game, and will have updates on their website. The Dead Kings DLC has been fully removed from sale and apparently will be ‘coming soon’.
