This add-on developed by the team at Lyndiman's New Zealand Orthophotography (Lyndiman) brings a truly sensational photoreal/orthophoto experience to you flights in and around New Zealand in X-Plane 12 and 11.

Covering the whole of New Zealand (all of the islands) - this package at over 190 GB brings true photorealistic scenery to the terrain below you. All of the scenery has been created from open-source satellite imagery and post-processed to remove atmospheric artifacts such as clouds, haze, etc.

All of the photoreal tiles have been generated with a zoom level of 17 which gives a good balance between file size, performance, and detail.

It’s a large package and may even take several days to download on a standard Internet connection.

This package has already been compiled or “built” in .DDS format so it’s ready to use within X-Plane. There is no need to sit there waiting days for lengthy conversions to take place (especially if you have a slower machine) - once the download is complete you can use the scenery right away.

As said, the whole of NZ is covered in this release, but broken down you will find:

We HIGHLY recommend the use of Andras Fabian’s (AlpilotX) UHD Mesh Scenery as a mesh base layer to this New Zealand scenery. It really brings the mountains, hills, and valleys to life. In fact, we wouldn’t use this scenery without the mesh. You can download it here:
