Everton, possibly the greatest English team to never win the European Cup and came so, so close under Howard Kendall in the 1980s, but were scuppered by the English ban in UEFA competitions owing to the Heysel Disaster. From that team the likes of Kevin Sheedy, Neville Southall and Graeme Sharp starred. Everton boast the likes of Andy Gray and Gary Lineker as well as those in more recent times such as Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill and Romelu Lukaku.
