So yeah, despite being released in 2001, we’re back on the PlayStation 1. Time to dust off the old D-Pad and get down to some Konami Football Action! Within likes the same old story, but without much improvement: there are no new match modes. The only development has been new chipped shots and feints to cancel a shot. Oh yeah, and the commentary has changed. We bid goodbye to D-lister Tony Gubba and say hello, in an analytical role no less, to Terry Butcher. Both he and his faceless, nameless co-commentator speak garbled nonsensical phrases presumably under threat of gunpoint.
