Some time after I did my first version of the portal room, 'Nova flipps' sent me a message and showed me his version of it (link to him further down). We discussed different solutions, and this is how the concept looks at the moment.

I really wanted to use an ME network from Applied Energistics to handle the books, and it works really well. The big benefit compared to the old version is that the system can't be messed up. Books can't be sent to the wrong place. At least as long as there is power in the system... ME networks are much faster than pipes, but there is still a delay to insert a new book. As I wrote in the video, it is because books in the Receptacle will be pulled out as long as there is a Redstone signal. That means as long as the button emits a signal. The delay is three maxed out Redstone Repeaters long, and is slightly longer than the button press.

The original plan was not to do a new version so close to the old, I sort of planned to wait for 1.6.4 packs before doing an update. But now we were already finished with next version. Don't be surprised if there will be a third as well, but hopefully not for some time ;)
