Future Wars (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Future Wars: Time Travellers was the first adventure from the legendary software house Delphine. It was all over the magazines of the time, and paved the way for all the subsequent Delphine classics.

I never got to play this back on original release, but I did play this while I still had my Amigas. The adventure is mysterious and alluring but the control system instead of a parser is often clunky to say the least, and many puzzles require trial and error. I first loaded in the game afresh and played as far as I could (the lake shore) before having to look up what to do next. I then headed to the drawbridge but could not remember how to get the item to get the lance, so I gave up and loaded up from one of the games I saved during my walkthrough run, which I still have on my computer. I totally forgot about the newspaper, but that also made for an interesting moment when I realised I'd made a no-way-back mistake. This is all part and parcel of this game.
No comparison zone but I did all all the usual research pics and stuff like that. It takes a day to research a game sometimes, and read all the articles surrounding it. I always had this game lined up for this series, and is one of the reasons these shows are based on time travel, but also because of all the caveman games I ripped and still have to cover.
Due to an ever-changing setup, I noticed lots of pops and clicks in the video, which was my mouth rather than issues with the audio. But I am looking into getting a proper setup at some point.
