65Impossamole (or Monty 6) is the final game from Gremlin Interactive to feature Monty Mole character, after the ZX game Moley Christmas.

Like Captain Planet, this game holds fond memories for me, as I saw it before I even owned an Amiga, on a friends machine. Impossamole was ripped (perhaps) at the end of Series 1, or in the gap between the series, and in the same month as I started to edit Test Drive 1 and 2 for the very first show of Series 2. I cant remember if this was meant to close out Series 1 or not (its been 2 and a half years), but I knew I wanted to include this game among the ones that only I (perhaps) would cover and make such a fuss about.
The Impossamole character was also among the first games to be added to the cartoon intro sequence, along with Second Samurai, Tearaway Thomas and the red haired guy from Captain Planet, when that all kicked off during Series 1. An Asian guy from the second level of this game also appeared in the original cartoon intro, but has since been removed to make way for other characters.
I do remember that the original footage had the windows pointer in it, and this meant it was unusable when I came to edit it. Fast forward a couple of years, and now the package I ripped this with offers the option to hide/remove the mouse pointed from previous footage. So I removed it and converted the remainder into .MP4 format on 26th May 2015, hoping to use the footage for Series 3. Here we are now at the end of that run, and so I hope you can forgive me for adding this to the collection over something like Kick Off 2 or Lure of the Temptress.
The graphics looked amazing back then, but compared to Ruff n Tumble, Lionheart or Woldchild, this game is decidedly dated. I discovered they made a special version for the TurboGrafx-16 (PC Engine) machine which is totally different, and I cant see why they did this, but its in the review. I couldnt find any info on the producers so I made a guess based on the team behind the other conversions. I hope to be able to find this info out at some point.
BUGS!: I say "Straw Hats" when I meant to say the the Bamboo(?) hats the South-East Asians were wearing in the game.
