In a move that seems to have come from out of nowhere, Alfonso Ribiero, often known as Carlton Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, is suing Epic Games. Recently, Epic made a dance move available in Fortnite that is, beat for beat, "The Carlton Dance" from the Fresh Prince show. If you're not familiar with it (and god I hope you are), it's a dance he used to do any time Tom Jones music was on.

Now game companies have been taking either the essence of dances or the dance outright from celebrities and putting them into games for a long time. WOW launched in 2004 with several iconic and highly recognizable dances that ranged from Britney and Alizee to MC Hammer and the Bee Gees. Now while some of those were simply the essence of a dance, some like the "Candy in my Heels - Napoleon Dynamite" dance were spot on copies. Nobody seemed to care. I believe the only reason Alfonso is caring is due to the IMMENSE popularity of a game like Fortnite. I find it funny he wants to sue when he doesn't have it copyrighted yet AND he used to imitate Michael Jackson as a very young boy. He did this imitation so well, he had the same jacket, did the moonwalk and I think he even did it in a Pepsi commercial with Michael. Makes you thnk.
