Patchouli is a character I've kind of neglected for this fight. She's actually pretty decent due to her selection of elements and her affinity piercing.
She's actually able to kill the Crystal Guardian second last with Satellite Himawari (the Earth Crystal will tank it due to its NTR affinity and high MND while the Crystal Guardian will take full damage) though the strategy is fairly risky since Patchouli is very slow and also needs Grand Incantation, while the Crystal Guardian is speedy (unless you use max debuffs to force it into using consecutive Dark Stars).
Patchouli ironically has an easier time against the solo Crystal Guardian. You don't have to force an opening, the Guardian's auto-buffing will create one for you with Dark Star. All you need is a front row that can tank the attack. Enhancer Rumia is strongly recommended, since she can group heal, group buff AND reduce Dark Star's damage while she's in front. Making sure that SIL is active when the boss uses Dark Star also increases your survivability (it will also help Patchy increase her damage).
While Patchy's damage is pretty good, one drawback to using her is her SPD. Other attackers can usually swap themselves out after dropping a nuke, but Patchy can't do that. She also requires Grand Incantation to hit her full damage potential, and she can only do that by Concentrating. You can see the difference for yourself with the video's length; it's a fair bit longer than the attempts with weaker characters.
Despite how hard she is to safely use, I do think Patchouli is one of the better options for this fight. If you've been challenging the Post-Game at Challenge Level, you've probably already used Patchouli and upgraded her, and the damage you see here only requires 1 extra SDM character.
NOTE: I brought Utsuho in for MND debuffing but I strongly recommend dropping her and bringing in Satori to boost Patchy's damage with her Trauma Recollection passive.
