Transcendent Nitori and Akyuu vs Crystal Guardian (Labyrinth of Touhou 2 Steam)

I haven't really talked about Nitori for this fight and that's because Nitori is pretty hard to use here. The Crystal Guardian resists her signature PHYS element nuke. While she is able to hit the bosses weaknesses to NTR and CLD, she can't do it as well as others because: 1) both attacks are AOEs so she can't kill the Guardian second last; and 2) both of her AOEs have mediocre formulas.
I chose Kappa's Illusionary Waterfall over Extending Arm, mostly because it was less hassle (Nitori boosts CLD damage, while Extending Arm would require Suwako to do the same thing, along with with Satori in front). Honestly, if this move wasn't on Nitori, Illusionary Waterfall would suck. Nitori, with her busted passives and a Transcendent build, can "only" make it do 500K damage. You CAN boost the damage via Overheating but it's very hard to utilize.
Even if you have an edited save with Akyuu unlocked, hitting Nitori's full damage potential is very difficult. It's a multi-tasking nightmare, trying to:
-Keep Nitori alive (without swapping her out)
-Keep Aya alive (you need her to give turns to Nitori)
-Retain Nitori's buffs / boost in between attacks
-Keep HVY active so that Nitori does actual damage (the hardest part. The Guardian wears out HVY so fast)
That's not even mentioning that Akyuu's protection isn't perfect. You can make Nitori invincible but 1) the Invincibility can just randomly wear off on Nitori's turns and 2) it doesn't fully protect Nitori since the boss can just inflict DTH on Nitori with one of its other attacks. I learned that the hard way...
You can use Transcendent Nitori as a regular swap-in swap-out, but then you lose the Overheating bonus and damage-wise, you're basically using "Kogasa but with much worse MP regen".
I still managed to hit Overheating Level 4 in this video but honestly? I think this build is more effort than it's worth. The only impressive part of this strategy is the snowballing damage and, to be honest, there is one character (who I haven't shown off yet) that does it way better than Nitori and with less hassle too.
tl;dr Would not recommend this Nitori build, even if you have Akyuu.
While Transcendent Nitori is really annoying to run, Gambler Nitori is an alternative option...
