In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using Gambler with a Crit Items focus! Gambler is a skull who in my mind I didn't have a high opinion of for the longest while. His RNG high rolls and low rolls can be a bit off putting at first, since it can feel like unless he's high rolling he isn't performing at his best. This was before I truly understood the importance of archetypes, so I never put together how to connect his strengths with powerful item effects. As it turns out he's very good with the two best archetypes, at least from my perspective: Crit Items and Ability Spam Items, and today we'll be using the former. Also, with actual buffs given to him over time as well as these realizations I actually really, really like Gambler now and think he's extremely powerful when used correctly, and that's what I aim to show today.
