This is because he has an extremely narrow build path; his only viable build is damage% focused. This archetype is powerful, but requires a lot of high rolling and luck. You need good item quality that increases your damage, good item and inscription quality that amplifies your damage, and also on top of it all ideally a good curse that further amps your damage. All of this work to reach the standards of the average item damage focused run means it's far less consistent to take this route to achieve similar results.
