Yeah got custom labels on my game carts and VHS tapes! Also some custom posters put up around the room. I also got PS1, N64 and TG-16 emulation going and found a funny little detail about PS1 games in the process. I also try using my 8-Bitdo controller to play a game for the first time. Works out of the box with zero setup just turn it on in X-input mode and go! Any X-Box compatible controller should work. This makes playing platformers and other 2D games much more viable and again as shown previously it's already a VERY legit way to play light gun games.

Again here's the EmuVR website. Check it out of you can.

Adding the labels is fairly easy. There's a custom folder for putting art assets in console subfolders (NES, SNES etc) and basically as long as your ROM names in your games folders (NES, SNES etc!) are close to the PNG filename it will automatically match up! There's a customization link on the main EmuVR website that has some instructions along with a link to a "spreadsheet" that will have almost any videogame cover art you would need. The VHS labels are a similar story just make sure the PNG files are similar to your video filenames though many of the provided links are of an art style I don't agree with. There aren't a lot of good VHS labels so you may have to make your own as I did with The Terminator. The poster system is a little strange. There's basically a bunch of preset poster positions around the room of fixed size and ratio. You'll need to put the corresponding PNG files in the posters folder as shown in the example folder. PNG files numbered 1 to 20-something match their position in the room. Again they're fixed locations, size and ratio so you'll need to find images with a ratio that match the poster you want to place, where you want to place it. Basically just copy all the example PNG files into the poster folder and see where they are in the room and how they look before deciding what ones you'll want to use. Honestly this is kinda pointless to explain in a wall of text if you haven't seen it for yourself. I watched this video and found it helpful as he shows how to do a lot of this customization stuff. So maybe just follow this video too!

He even takes it a step further swapping out things like the wall, floor and bedsheet/pillow textures to really change the look of the room. My room is a basic bitch compared to his! But honestly I got excited halfway through his video and just started playing around more. This is apx a few hours of work getting the Sega Saturn, PS1 emulators working, downloading the art and converting the movies to fit the 4:3 ratio. So it doesn't take long to get something very usable here. Again for the most part just follow the instructions in the video above and remember like I've said before, EmuVR has lots of good instructions on their website! So get going and before you know it you'll have a way cooler room than me!
