The Miyoo Mini Plus (+) is a tiny little emulation handheld in a vertical Game Boy like form factor that can play NES, Genesis, SNES etc up to and including PS1 on a very nice 3.5" 640x480 IPS display with excellent battery life. The OS is simple to use so that anyone can pickup, find a game, use save states and exit the game with little to no prior instructions. Games like SNES and Genesis look amazing out of the box with excellent sharp scaling but other games like Game Boy have soft scaling and NES has a terrible overlay on by default that while not too difficult to remove doesn't offer the best out of box experience for a beginner. This is why many who have these opt to install Onion OS, an alternative OS that has better out of box emulation settings. I may myself consider installing Onion OS just because I like the way it handles Game Boy but NES aside it's still a decent enough experience for most games if you just want to pickup, turn on and go! The ROM selection could be a little better but as shown just ignore (or delete) the ROM's with the 3 digit numbers in front of the name and you should be good. All in all the hardware is decent. The buttons feel good and the screen and battery life are excellent. This little guy can play a lot of games and it runs most of them fairly well out of the box for the most part. It's not perfect but it would appear that simply installing Onion OS on the SD card gets it much closer to being as close to perfect as anyone could imagine. The future is here!

The photo of Miyoo mini vs plus vs RG35XX while found via a google image search belongs to Retro Games Corps as does the short video clip used of Onion OS playing Game Boy. Here's the video about Onion OS as mentioned below.
